Southtowns Radiology Named Breast Imaging Center of Excellence

ORCHARD PARK, NY – The American College of Radiology has named Southtowns Radiology at 3050 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

Southtowns Radiology is now a certified Breast Imaging Center in the Southtowns and one of only a few in Western New York. The ACR awards the prestigious status of Breast Imaging Center of Excellence to centers that have earned accreditation in all of the College's voluntary, breast-imaging accreditation programs and modules, in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program.

The breast-imaging services at Orchard Park are fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Peer-review evaluations, conducted in each breast-imaging modality by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field, have determined that this facility has achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.

Southtowns Radiology Associates recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of their state-of-the-art imaging center that specializes in Women's Imaging Services.
